Analysis of a real film title sequence
Analysis of a real film title sequence
What film will you analyse the title sequence of?
I will be analysing the title sequence of the film 'Snow White: A Tale of Terror.'
Why do you think it comes up in this order?
I understand that the order in which this title sequence is placed is because of how important each persons role is in the film or the making of the film.
The production and distribution icons come up first to make sure the audience know which company the film is made by. The main characters come next as it is important for the audience to know exactly who the characters are as they play a major role in the film. Thirdly the title of the film comes up. More names of the actors come next which could be because they play a small role in the film or might not be as important as the actors that were first shown. The title sequence is then followed by the casting, the music superviser, the costume designer, the film editor, the production designer, the director of photography, the executive producer and the screenplay. The reason as to why they may come up in the middle of the credits is because they may not be as important as some of the other people that were involved in putting the film together. Finally the producer and the director of this film is shown last, however, although they come last they are very important in putting this film together as they may come last to make sure it sticks with the target audience.
Here is the order of the title sequence of the film 'Snow White: A Tale of Terror'
