Who would be the audience of your media product?

 



This is a member of our target audience. Her 'cover photo' on Facebook is supporting our thriller, Reaction. Her age (21st August 1995) also gives an insight to what our target audience will be - teenagers. She also attended a school in London which shows the wider audience for thriller films are from any age living ordinary lives.



This status shows her excitement towards an upcoming film. This is normal for teenagers, as they are not paying any taxes or bills, their money is usually spent on leisure time going to the cinema. Therefore, aiming your film at teenagers will give a larger audience. They also tend to go in groups "Going with all my friends", the more friends they tell through these social sites (Facebook in this case) the more people will become aware and interested. Especially if she is showing excitement.

Our thriller is specifically aimed at those in education, such as college. As it is filmed in a local college, those attending the college and that are aware of the college will spread the word about it.

Our film, "Reaction" is a sci-fi thriller or "chiller" and the target audience for this sub genre will be those interested in Science. As it is based in college, it relates to Science students or even more specifically, Chemistry students.



Sharing links through social networking will get other members of the target audience interested, because the person's friends on Facebook will most likely be of the same age.
