Analysis of a real title sequence - Ocean's Eleven

The Production and Distribution Icons come first in this title sequence, this shows who produced the film and gets it going.

I noticed that after this, very famous actor's names came up first before the title itself. This automatically makes the film more known.

After introducing the main characters and guest starring, the title appears.

After the title, the titles go in the following order:-

produced by
executive producer
co producer
production design
director of photography
music by
edited by
based on a screenplay and a true story
directed by

Although this is slightly different to an ordinary opening title order, the same or similar titles still appear and the director remains at the end so that it remains in the audience's minds. Ocean's Eleven did their title sequence in the order they felt had the most important roles. For example, not all films would have a 'based on a true story' title. They also put that nearer towards the end so that it stay's in the audience's mind and then makes the film more interesting and engaging because the audience understands that the events occured in real life.
